5 Fashion It Girls Who Are My Style Spirit Animals
Finding style inspiration can be tough. Season after season we are presented with new and exciting trends, but finding ways to incorporate them into your day-to-day wears can be challenging. Most of what we see on the runways needs some tweaking and fine tuning before it can make its way into our closets and onto some of our favorite fashion it girls. I am constantly looking for style inspiration and can say I’ve found five fashion girls I can turn to without fail whenever I’m trying to change things up and push the fashion limits. From mixing prints, to integrating vintage and contemporary styles all into one outfit, these girls do it all. Below, check out five fashion it girls who are my style spirit animals.
1. Jenny Walton
Jenny Walton has a fun and feminine sense of style. She is the ultimate thrifter and is often dressed in one-of-a-kind pieces she found a her favorite vintage stores. She is the fashion director at the Satorialist as well as a fashion illustrator and runs her own blog, markersandmicrons.com.
2. Kate Foley
I love Kate Foley's electric sense of style. She isn't afraid to wear bold colors or mix and match prints. She is a stylist and creative consultant and is currently the US fashion director at Vestiaire Collective.
Harley Viera-Newton is a British model and DJ with a classic lady-like style but isn't afraid to push the limits with a metallic trench coat or rainbow coat. She recently launched her very own dress collection with the absolute cutest prints called HVN collection.
It almost goes without saying, but Olivia Palermo is a New York City native and socialite. She came into fame after appearing on the hit television series The City and has gone on to become a fashion it girl and icon. Olivia Palermo has a feminine and sophisticated sense of style and is the epitome of elegance. It is said that the Blair Waldorf may have styled after her.
5. Alexa Chung
Alexa Chung is a British fashion model, television presenter and contributing editor at British Vogue. I love her laid-back cool girl sense of style that can make even the most distressed pair of denim look polished. It is said that she will be coming out with her very own collection sometime next year and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited.
