Channel Your Inner Bombshell: 4 Iconic Pamela Anderson-Inspired Outfits
By: Christina Limmer
Thanks in large part to Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, Netflix’s new documentary Pamela, A Love Story, and a recently-released memoir entitled Love, Pamela, there’s been a reawakened interest in the beautiful ‘90s bombshell Pamela Anderson. (And rightfully so!) Throughout her career, Anderson was objectified and rarely seen as a serious actress. She’s finally telling her side of the story and we are living for it! To celebrate her speaking up for herself, we’ve compiled a few of her most memorable looks and how you can incorporate them into your own closet.
baywatch red
Let’s be real for a second here—you can’t talk about Pamela Anderson and not mention her iconic red swimsuit she donned as CJ Parker on Baywatch. While it’s still a little chilly out, we’re not suggesting you run to purchase a high-cut bathing suit (yet). However, you can still rock that instantly-recognizable red for your next date night or girls’ night out!
tough as barb wire
In 1996, Anderson kicked butt on the big screen as bounty hunter and nightclub owner Barb Wire, inspiring girls and women alike to embrace their inner rebel. Leather clad, smokey-eyed and donning the biggest hair possible, she made it look cool to be bad to the bone!
ready for the vma’s
With the recent rising interest in Pam, came a rebirth of one of her most iconic fashion moments: her 1999 MTV VMA’s appearance. Her then-husband Tommy Lee showed up in (only) a trench coat, while Anderson sported an over-the-top feathered hat and a white bustier. Recent Halloweens have had us see many a couple dressed as the instantly-recognizable duo. Either of these pieces are fun to wear separately, or you can rock both at once to achieve the ultimate Pamela look.
Good morning america
In a recent appearance on GMA, Anderson was seen wearing a stunning mid-calf, one shoulder, white caped dress. Flattering in every way, she truly looked angelic. It’s only fitting, as she’s now finally telling her story and we’re truly getting to appreciate her for the person she is underneath the mask she was forced to wear for all these years.
Of course being the legend she is, Pamela Anderson has countless outfits that can be duplicated. We’d love to hear your thoughts and your favorites—let us know in the comments below!
