7 Ways to Wear White All Year Long
By: Kelsey Tucker
The weather this winter has been all over the chart, and in most places of the U.S., we keep questioning what season it really is. From a beautiful snowfall one day to 60-degree sunshine the next, it can be difficult to dress. Though white looks best against pure, fresh snow, we found pieces that you can transition into each season, no matter the weather!
Gucci ‘Marmont’ Leather Shoulder Bag, $2,790; saksfifthavenue.com
Whether this bag is an investment piece or an addition to your handbag collection, you can’t go wrong. The classic winter-white shade, antique-goldtone hardware, and multi-wear shape makes this bag perfect for everyday use.
Pearl and Crystal Earrings, $68; jcrew.com
Mix a little sparkle from the night sky with the shine of a new snowflake and these earrings are born. They are just bold enough to use as your main accessory on a night out, yet still subtle enough to wear to work to give your outfit a professional pop.
Kobi Halperin ‘Jenea Sweater’, $398; saksfifthavenue.com
There’s nothing better than the ultimate ‘party sweater’ — and we found just the one! The crisp white and ivory color tones can literally be paired with any pant, jean or skirt in your closet while the luxe wool-blend fabric will keep you warm so you can show-off your sweater from under your jacket. The cherry on top? Feather. Trimmed. Sleeves.
Saint Laurent ‘Lou Lou Oversized Heart Sunglasses’, $420; neimanmarcus.com
The obsession with these sunnies is only continuing to grow and it’s obvious why. The trendy and uber-chic heart shape combined with the ivory color means that not only will they go with every outfit in your closet, they will stand-out in the best way possible. Prefer to stay low-key? They also come in black!
Wedge Mules, $50; zara.com
These white mules are the #musthave accessory to any outfit during any season. And we mean any! The soft white color of these Balenciaga-inspired mules will look hot against any color from tangerine orange to an all-white monochromatic ensemble.
Blaque Label Ivory Blazer, $85; revolve.com
A sharp white blazer is a piece we should all invest in. The color is forever versatile and, if you get a high-quality one, it will last you for ages. Throw it on over a Breton-stripe tee and skinny jeans for a casual look or pair it with a black slip dress and bunch the sleeves for a sophisticated and approachable appeal.
Wide-Cut Pants, $60; hm.com
Wide-legged trousers are all the rage right and we can't.get.enough. Pull a modern-day Maid In Manhattan moment by tying the look together with an ivory turtleneck and matching wrap coat, or throw on a vintage t-shirt for a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe.
