Thanks to social media platforms like Instagram and publications’ migration to an online focus, beauty lovers are now able to keep up with the latest trends and products in real time. Ranging from things like makeup to skincare to haircare to nail art and fragrance, the beauty industry runs deep and there is so much to explore in the wonderful world of beauty! 

Beauty editors are able to give us insight on all things beauty and now with the power of Instagram, they are able to share with us their favorite and least favorite products, trends, and news in the industry while giving us a glimpse of what it’s like reporting on beauty and working in the industry. Here are 7 Beauty Editors you should be following on Instagram — and keeping up with their work, too!

Akili King

Akili King works as a Beauty Editorial Assistant and Writer for Vogue. Aside from bylines in Vogue, the editor has also had work published in The Fader, Milk Makeup, and Fashion Fair and King has interviewed celebrities and models like Taraji P. Henson, Salem Mitchell, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Gabrielle Union. Just recently, King was interviewed for Glossier’s, Into The Gloss on her role at Vogue and her favorite skincare and haircare products. Ama Kwarteng

Ama Kwarteng is the Associate Beauty Editor at Cosmopolitan. Kwarteng covers different realms of beauty including haircare, skincare, and makeup for Cosmo’s digital and print magazine.
