The summer season is finally here, and there’s countless activities that require a cute outfit and a swimsuit. This year, swimsuit trends are cuter than ever; alongside the classic one-piece suits and bikinis, we have belts, cut-outs, ties and even crochet. As cute as they are, these styles can be a bit difficult to use underneath other clothes. Luckily, we are here to help. Here’s a list of ideas on how to incorporate the trendiest swimsuits into your look – both on the beach and in the streets!

START WITH A CLASSIC

Classics are called classics for a reason; one-piece swimsuits are your greatest and most versatile ally if you have to move a lot during the day. Pair a one-piece swimsuit with your favorite high-waisted jeans or pants. These items are perfect if you need, or feel more comfortable with, a bit of coverage. If you need to go to the office or run errands beforehand, one-piece swimsuits can easily pass as a bodysuit or tank top. Colorful kitten heels are a great pair of shoes to combine with the rest of the outfit and are easy to pack in a beach bag.

BELT IT OUT

Belted swimsuits are a seasonal favorite; right now, they come in every pattern, color and fit you can think of – the possibilities are endless! We recommend using this style of swimsuit if you need a bit of pizzazz throughout the day. Wear it with a midi skirt that isn’t too busy on the waist section. This way, the belt can sit perfectly on top of the skirt without creating a frumpy look. For shoes, you can go with whatever fits your day the best. We recommend espadrilles; they are fresh, pretty, and comfortable. All this, with a cute bag and colorful earrings make for the perfect summer look!

CROCHET AWAY

Lately, crochet is everywhere and it isn’t hard to see why. Crochet is a breathable, versatile textile that makes every outfit look unique. Crochet swimsuits are perfect for a pool party in which you are spending little time in the water, but still want to be prepared for it. Use a fun oversized shirt with a pair of denim shorts. You can keep the shirt half-way buttoned-up or completely open, depending on your comfort level. The best shoes for this look? Clogs. These shoes match the vibe of the crochet perfectly.

CUT-IT-OUT

Cut-out swimsuits are the sexy sister of the classic, one-piece swimsuits. Just like the one-piece, cut-out suits are the perfect bodysuit substitute. They are hot and flattering, perfect for a poolside hang that turns into a night-out. Black leather shorts are the best choice for this style of swimsuit. It will complement the vibe of the top without covering it up. Summer nights can get chilly, so throwing on a denim jacket won’t hurt the look. a pair of colorful strappy heels are the ideal shoes to take your look from day to night.
