In the whirlwind of chaos that has been 2020, masks have transformed into our most essential day-to-day accessory. Whether you’re going to the grocery store or out for dinner, masks don’t have to just be a requirement, they can also be your new favorite accessory. You can save lives while wearing a mask and look cute while doing it with these four designer’s mask innovations.

Christian Siriano

From gem embellishments to relatable statements like “F U Covid,” Christian Siriano has all of the mask essentials for every mood you go through in quarantine. His brightly colored pleated masks in tranquil blue, poppy, and coral not only have us dreaming of that tropical vacation we never got to take (thanks, COVID), but also for each of these masks you purchase, three are donated to essential responders. Whether you’re dressing up for a night out with Siriano’s over-the-top masks straight from the runway, making a statement with his fitted “Vote” masks, or you just want to buy a mask for a good cause, Siriano has got you covered.

Erin Robertson

If you’re looking for a mask with bold colors and innovative styles, Erin Robertson’s masks are a must-have. From lemon patterns to neon orange, An_Erin has introduced fun and joyful designs into all of her masks, something that we all need in this time of anxiety and what-ifs. If you’re looking for a mask that really stands out, we recommend the completely extra and completely fabulous pink “Bow Mask.” Our founder Caroline Vazzana rocked this mask during New York Fashion Week in an all pink look, giving us major Elle Woods vibes. Need we say more?

Meji Meji

What screams convenience and effortlessly cool like a bucket hat-mask combo? Meji Meji’s matching sets are perfect for when you want to elevate your accessorizing beyond just a simple mask. Stylish as well as functional, these tie-dye and printed hats also include a silk/satin lining to help reduce hair loss by retaining your hair’s moisture. While the masks on their own are enough to make us obsessed with this brand, Meji Meji is also a female Black-owned business and all of their masks are sustainably made. If that’s not enough to make head straight to their website, all of their masks are currently on sale. You’re welcome.

Collina Strada

For beautifully crafted masks that look like they could be in an art museum instead of hanging on your face, Collina Strada masks are your go-to. Strada’s masks are made from anything and everything you can imagine including turmeric and hibiscus dye, deadstock fabric, and one mask even has rainbow braided hair extensions. Not only are these masks beautifully unique and ornate, for each mask that you purchase, three or more will be be donated to healthcare workers in New York City and Seeding Sovereignty, or a portion of the proceeds will go to various organizations including The Okra Project and the Homeless Black Trans Women’s Fund.
