The New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2021 runway was bursting with color this season! Next fall is looking vibrant, and you know we are all about that! Fashion Illustrator Deanna Kei sketched 7 designer outfits from the shows that will inspire you to put together your own colorful looks – this season and beyond.

1 Deanna Kei - Prabal Gurung - F21 red.jpg

Bold Red at Prabal Gurung

Red pops against contrast neutrals like white and black at Prabal Gurung. The solid color highlights all of the design details: corseted seam lines, eyelets, ruffles, ruching, sleeve drama, a contrast waist, and a high slit.

2 Deanna Kei - Victoria Beckham - F21 pink.jpg

The Perfect Pink at Victoria Beckham

Mixing different soft shades of pink gives a feminine upgrade to the power suit. A pink blazer has so many styling possibilities; it’s a wardrobe staple! Victoria Beckham styled hers with a soft printed shirt and a dramatic tonal wide leg.

3 Deanna Kei - Adam Lippes - F21 yellow.jpg

Sunny Yellow and Lavender at Adam Lippes

This ‘sunshine and flowers’ color duo is the perfect mood elevator. Yellow and lavender make for a fun, eye-catching combination and take this tailored, solid Adam Lippes look to the next level.

4 Deanna Kei - Anna Sui2 - F21 green.jpg

Glorious Green at Anna Sui

Green showed up in a variety of tones this season, and this Anna Sui look combines a few! Mixing different textures and fabric adds dimension to color-centric outfits.

5 Deanna Kei - Christian Cowan - F21 orange.jpg

Show-Stopping Orange at Christian Cowan

All over orange sequins is our retort to 2020; we’re ready for things to lighten up! This Christian Cowan cut-out dress is the perfect silhouette for that. Orange is such a great stand alone color, but it also looks great along side every other color on this list.

6 Deanna Kei - Staud - F21 blue.jpg

Sweet Periwinkle at Staud

Blue has a place each season, but this periwinkle tone brought something fresh to the F21 collections. Staud’s all over periwinkle look is a great example of how layering different fabrics in the same color create depth.

7 Deanna Kei - Anna Sui - F21 purple.jpg

Punctuated Purple at Anna Sui

This berry purple shade is a gorgeous mid tone that looks great for both spring and fall. Anna Sui highlighted the color in her all-over printed dress. The tonal printed tights and shoes are the perfect compliment to the outfit!

bonus Deanna Kei - Zimmermann - F21 Flare.jpg

Bonus: Multicolors at Zimmermann

This one patchwork dress includes over 6 different prints and 4 different colors! Zimmermann’s F21 collection included a ton of mixed and tonal color blocked prints and solids, too.
